What Notely Is
Notely is a note-taking tool that helps you turn content from the internet into structured notes you can review and remember. We keep things simple and respect your privacy.
What We Collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive and store:
- Your name and email address — to identify your account
- Your profile picture URL — to display in the app
When you use Notely, we store:
- Notes you generate — summaries, key points, action items, and associated metadata (source URLs, topic categories)
- Review progress — which notes you've reviewed and when, to power spaced repetition
- Feedback you submit — ratings and messages you send through the feedback form
What We Don't Collect
- We don't track you across the web
- We don't sell or share your data with third parties
- We don't use your data for advertising
- We don't store your Google password — authentication is handled entirely by Google's OAuth
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to provide and improve Notely:
- Generating and storing your notes
- Scheduling spaced repetition reviews
- Sending review reminders (if you opt in to push notifications)
- Improving the product based on feedback
Where Your Data Lives
Your data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure (D1 database and KV storage). Cloudflare operates a global network with strong security practices. We do not store data on personal servers.
AI Processing
When you paste a link or text, the content is sent to an AI model (Cloudflare Workers AI) to generate notes. The content is processed in real-time and is not stored by the AI provider beyond the request. We do not use your content to train AI models.
Cookies & Local Storage
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We also use browser local storage for preferences (theme, view settings). We don't use third-party tracking cookies.
Your Rights
You can:
- Delete individual notes from your library at any time
- Request full account deletion by emailing us
- Export your notes using the copy/share features in the app
Third-Party Services
- Google OAuth — for sign-in authentication
- Cloudflare — for hosting, database, and AI processing
Changes to This Policy
